How to Install WordPress on GoDaddy?
We created a tutorial that walks you through the process of installing WordPress on GoDaddy. Follow the step-by-step instructions below and learn how to install WordPress on GoDaddy in a few easy steps!
Make Purchases: Hosting Plan, Domain Name, SSL
First, you need to make a few purchases on GoDaddy’s website. To start, you will need to create a GoDaddy account and login. Then, go to Select Hosting & SSL > Web Hosting.
Hosting Package
Now you can pick a hosting package that is suitable for your needs. If you own only one website, we recommend selecting an economy package. If you are planning to have more websites, you can opt for the deluxe package. If you are not sure what to do, pick an economy package – you can always upgrade later on!
Term Length & System Type
After that, you will be asked to select a term length. You have a few options to select from, so be sure to choose something suitable for your needs and budget. Remember that you will be asked to prepay for the amount of time you’ve selected.
Now it’s time to select the system type – we recommend Linux with cPanel control Panel. This is the most flexible option which will help you to customize your site in the future. When it’s ready, go to the next screen.
Security
Although you don’t have to buy security options on GoDaddy, we recommend getting this option. You don’t want your WordPress site to get hacked (especially if you will be collecting sensitive information or selling products), so it’s important that you protect it! You have two options to pick: a Standard SSL Certificate and a SiteLock for extra protection.
Choose Your Domain Name
Now you need to choose your domain name. GoDaddy offers a range of different domain names that are suitable for most websites and blogs. Simply choose the one that is best for your needs. Most of them will be free!
Now it’s time to go to your cart and complete your purchase! Once you have purchased hosting on GoDaddy, you will need to install WordPress to set up your website. Follow the instructions below to learn how to install WordPress on GoDaddy.

WordPress Hosting vs. GoDaddy Hosting: Which One Is Better?
There is no simple answer to this question – it depends on your needs and requirements. Both WordPress hosting and GoDaddy packages are powerful, flexible, and easy-to-use. However, if you want to build a complex website with many features and options, then we recommend using WordPress hosting as it is more reliable than the standard packages offered by GoDaddy.
On the other hand, if you plan to create a simple blog or website, the GoDaddy packages will be perfect for your needs. Therefore, it’s important that you take into consideration your needs and intentions before deciding on which hosting option is best for you. Best of luck!
